Musafia Cremona Italy Cases was founded in 1983 by Dimitri Musafia, a concertmaster violinist and violin maker, awarded with a diploma from the Stradivari Institute. From the beginning, his objective was clear: to develop a violin case that offered superior instrument safety while also being elegant and attractive.

The structure of the violin case had to be strong enough to withstand external impacts, while the interior was designed to absorb shocks without transmitting them to the violin. From the start, Musafia set out to create the best violin case in the world.

In the following years, Musafia Cremona Italy Cases became known and appreciated for their safety features and distinctive Italian style. Leading soloists worldwide commissioned Musafia to make violin cases for their valuable Stradivaris and Guarneris. Museums and foundations also trusted Musafia's expertise, particularly with exceptional instruments such as the 1742 Guarneri del Gesù "the Cannon" and the 1715 Stradivarius, considered some of the most significant violins in history.
